Charles Vogel, DDS

Dr. Vogel is a native of Springfield, Missouri, and you might even say a native to the art of dentistry. His grandfather was a dentist in Springfield as well, so dentistry must be in his blood; he was born to be a dentist.

After Dr. Vogel received his DDS from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1966, he headed back to Springfield to begin his career. He acquired a practice from a retiring dentist and eventually met up with the Heard brothers. The trio decided to share a space in 1994.

Since you are never too old to learn, Dr. Vogel constantly continues his education through courses offered from dental academies and centers. He has attended the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study and The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. Dr. Vogel has studied under Dr. Donald Callan, an implant surgeon and periodontist located in Little Rock, Arkansas, as well.

Dr. Vogel has articles published annually in “Dental Economics”, a magazine geared towards the dentistry field. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, the Greater Springfield Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the American Academy of Dental Practice Administration.

Dr. Vogel was Springfield'd Best Dentist in 2004, and was recognized as first runner up in Springfield's Best Dentist contest in 2003. He is proud of these great honors and happy to serve such a great community!

Jeffrey Heard, DDS

Dr. Heard is also a native of Springfield, Missouri and is the eldest of the two Heard brothers. He completed his undergraduate degrees in biology and chemistry at Southwest Missouri State University in 1979. Dr. Heard then chose to attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and achieved his DDS degree in 1984.

Just like Dr. Vogel, Dr. Heard acquired his first practice from a retiring dentist. As the story of Heard, Heard and Vogel goes, Dr. Jeffrey Heard shared a space with his younger brother and Dr. Vogel in 1994.

Dr. Heard is also an advocate of continuing education long after college. He has attended courses at The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. In addition to practicing dentistry, Dr. Heard remains involved in the field by being a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association and the Greater Springfield Dental Association.

Dr. Heard was recognized as Springfield's Best Dentist in 2002 and was runner up for this honor in 2001. Dr. Heard is thrilled his community chose him as the best, and is proud to perform excellent dentistry.

John Heard, DDS

Of course, like his older brother, Dr. Heard is also a native of Springfield, Missouri. He attained his undergraduate degree from Southwest Missouri State University, graduating cum lade with a business degree in 1981. He then chose to follow his brother’s footsteps, and attended dentistry school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He graduated from UMKC with his DDS in 1987.

And as the others before him, Dr. Heard also acquired a practice of his own from a retiring dentist. He moved his practice to the building with Dr. Jeff and Dr. Vogel in 1994.

Dr. Heard is also a believer of continuous learning. He has chosen to continue his education through courses offered at The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association and the Greater Springfield Dental Association.

Dr. John Heard is Invisalign certified. With the knowledge of these invisible orthodontics, he is now able to give you a straight, beautiful smile without traditional braces.
